Abbey Agriculture & Trade exists to incarnate Church of the Lamb’s values of stewardship, partnership, beauty, and hospitality. We promote all forms of good work—defined as meaningful labor for the common good, compensated by just wages. We cultivate our land to restore its health and beauty, to make it a hospitable home. We work to establish economic on-ramps to honorable and viable vocations, especially for the disenfranchised. We train students in the common arts and traditional trades, forming the craftsmen who can build and maintain solid infrastructure, beautiful residences, and humane, functional places of work. The common good cannot be sought truly apart from the good of individual families and humans, we work to form the people—in skill and in spirit—who can seek this flourishing.

“But they [craftsmen] keep stable the fabric of the world, and their prayer is in the practice of their trade.” – Sirach 38:34
